5th grade literacy I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and playing in band, snowboarding and running track. I attended Colorado State University where I majored in History with a concentration in Secondary Education, with minors in Spanish and Business. After I earned my degree, I taught High School in Fort Collins. I later moved to Denver and started working at Denver Green School. This is my first year teaching 5th grade at DGS. Previously, I held the Internal Substitute and MS intervention literacy positions. I have truly enjoyed working here because of the community values and dedication to best practice in education. I feel lucky to be here!

5th grade math I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and spent my early childhood years moving throughout the southeast before settling in Tampa, Florida in the fifth grade. I got my bachelors in psychology with an emphasis in child development from Florida State University (Go Noles!). I initially had aspirations to become a school psychologist before realizing my place was in the classroom. I went back to school for my masters in elementary education from the University of South Florida. In my spare time I enjoy cheering on the Florida State seminoles, spending time with my two puppies, Jedi and Gypsy, running, yoga, and hiking. I am excited to see what Colorado has to offer and am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach at DGS!
